provide a water jet cutting service. Most materials can be cut up to 1" thick, quotes are given in response to drawings of the parts to be cut. Try stainless steel grate sections, they last longer than cast iron or steel. Coupling and connecting rods can be cut from mild steel with no hard edges!

Recent discussions within the Society have highlighted concerns about the quality of some of the tools available to buy. Cheap taps, dies and drills are exactly that - cheap. That's their only attribute. Unfortunately, a high price doesn't necessarily buy quality tools; one can buy expensive ground-thread HSS taps and dies from a reputable supplier that are very poor.

Drills:
Dormer & Guhring:- Particularly Dormer A002 - self centering split point, TiN coated, cut wonderfully and give an accurate hole. Don't try these on copper alloys, they tend to grab more than any other drill! They are expensive!
